In the restricted architecture and landscape design competition for the new indoor swimming pool in Stadtlohn, the proposal by SMAQ with GRIEGER HARZER DVORAK Landscape Architects was awarded third prize. Through two public squares, the design embeds the Losberg pool complex in the connection between the River Berkel and Losberg Park. A rising mono-pitched roof and the transparent ground floor give the pool a distinctive address and open the swimming hall to the surrounding landscape.
